After a failed attempt to secure a seat in the Albanian Parliament, Azmer Dulević has made public his departure from the Albania Becomes Movement. The former candidate in the Fier district, who failed to secure a mandate despite a recount of votes, announced his withdrawal through a post on social media.
" I would like to inform you that I have withdrawn from political engagement with the Albania Becomes Movement. This is a personal choice, reflecting a new phase in my life and the desire to contribute differently. Together we will emerge stronger! I thank you for all your support and cooperation! ", writes Dulević.
Despite the recount in the Fier region, the Albania Becomes Movement failed to secure the 519 votes it needed to grab the next mandate, which ended up in the hands of the Socialist Party. Dulević's departure raises questions about the sustainability and political future of this new force, which failed to translate its potential into electoral success.
