Alesia Balliu was not allowed to run for the position of leader of the Democratic Party of Albania, while it was officially stated that she was not a member of this party and her request was not taken into consideration at all. Meanwhile, from the News24 studio, Alfred Lela, director of the Communications Office at the Democratic Party, said that one of the reasons why Alesia Balliu's candidacy was not accepted is that she campaigned for another party.
But in a reaction on social media, Balliu states that nothing like this happened.
"Give me proof or evidence where I have signed or left for another party. Spokesperson for Sali Frikacak, no one can deny my contribution to the DP and will not allow anyone to deny the contribution of every democrat who has sacrificed for that party. The DP belongs to the democrats and the Albanians and I will not allow it to be treated as the property of Sali Frikacak at any moment," she writes.
