The head of the DP Group, Gazment Bardhi, has shown that the situation in the Assembly is abnormal, as according to him the majority has closed any institutional path to the opposition within the Assembly.
Bardhi said that the majority rejected 3 requests of the opposition for the establishment of Investigative Commissions without giving any public explanation.
He emphasized that they were forced not to allow the plenary session to take place, as they did not want to go to these decisions.
"It is an abnormal situation, 3 requests for the establishment of Investigative Commissions have been rejected without giving any public explanation, why they do not allow parliamentary control for the intervention in the TIMS system, for 4 concessional contracts in health, for the decision-making of the executive power in conditions of conflict of interest , why is the opposition not allowed to propose the members it wants in the Electoral Reform Commission.
The path where the majority has been involved during this time, during these 2 years we have dealt with ourselves, we were forced today to take action to prevent the plenary session from taking place.
When the opposition blocks any way to act according to the Constitution, the Assembly cannot carry out normal activities.
We would not like to go to these decisions, but we are forced as every institutional path within the Assembly has been closed to us", said Bardhi.
