The opposition has opposed the Assembly's work calendar, calling it inefficient for conducting a quality parliamentary debate.
During the meeting of the Conference of Speakers, the leader of the opposition parliamentary group, Gazment Bardhi, stated that the inclusion of a large number of draft laws in a parliamentary session makes the discussion formal and without real impact.
"You are making the sessions inefficient. The calendar should not be mechanical, filling it with draft laws that pass without debate and without attention. We need to discuss and make the parliamentary discussion as effective as possible. This is why we are against the calendar. Let's find the opportunity for the debate to be as effective as possible," Bardhi said.
The plenary session on May 21 is expected to have a busy agenda, with 10 interpellations, 3 draft laws and 1 draft decision.
The Conference of Presidents did not reach an agreement on this issue, deferring decision-making to the plenary session.
Meanwhile, the second item on the agenda concerned the review of the request of the Chairman of the Laws Committee, Ulsi Manja, "On the establishment of the Subcommittee on Public Administration", a request which was approved.
