Democratic Party MP Ivi Kaso has stated that there are expected to be surprises in the local by-elections.
Kaso made the comments while he was a guest on the show 'Off the Record', where he rejected comments that the opposition would lose all six municipalities in these elections.
He also said that he was convinced that the opposition candidate for Tirana Mayor would be an excellent candidacy.
"We may have surprises in the local by-elections. It is certain that there will be surprises. The picture you painted was very bleak. The polls capture popular sentiment.
"The problem with elections in Albania is that popular sentiment is not allowed to be translated into election results. I am sure that the Tirana candidate will be an excellent candidate," said Ivi Kaso, among other things.
