The leader of the Mundësia Party, Agron Shehaj, calls it an achievement that the opposition has accepted the request that the mayoral candidate be from a non-political field.
Invited to the show "Top Story", Shehaj said that if Tirana is to be led by a non-corrupt figure, he must stay out of politics. He added that with one of the three names discussed by the opposition, they have a 50-50 chance of winning the elections against Ogerta Manastirliu.

Agron Shehaj : I am glad that the DP has accepted our request for a candidate outside of politics. If we want to give Tirana a non-corrupt figure, we need to be outside of politics. It is an extraordinary moment for many reasons, so an extraordinary solution is needed. Only one of the names is our candidacy.
Arjan Curi : The opposition is from the Opportunity Party
Shehaj : In respect of the talks, I would not like to… On the other hand, I want to clarify, I do not want to impose the name. It is an achievement that the candidate has been accepted outside the political sphere. We were informed of the names of the other party, we said our name. These names are more potential. Manastirliu is an unpopular profile, he did not have any important profile. PS, even taking someone from the street can be resolved. I am convinced that the candidate we have proposed has a 50/50 chance of winning. I am not the only one saying this.
