Ilir Alimehmeti explains why he is not running for the Mayor of Tirana

Former DP candidate for deputy in Tirana in the May 14 elections, Ilir Alimehmeti, has explained the reasons why he did not accept to run as a DP candidate in the by-elections for mayor of Tirana.

Alimehmeti said that he operates for a 4-year mandate and has submitted his political project to the leader of the DP, Sali Berisha.

"I have a clear political project, I have presented it to the president of the DP, it remains the same as in 2022, which means I am a team player, not an individual, and I work with long-term plans and I do not give my maximum in the sprint since I am a marathon player.

"I have brought the same political project and the chairman and the presidency determine who is the most suitable. 4 years with a program and a team ," he said on the show "Oponencje".
