The legal representative of the DP, Indrit Sefa, emphasized that the party led by Lulzim Basha supports every request of SPAK and that it will vote in favor of removing the immunity of the deputy against Sali Berisha to face justice.
In an interview for "Special Report" on "Abc News", he emphasized that the immunity of the deputy should not be part of the constitution at all.
" The position of DP is constant and known to the citizens, it is unconditional support for the justice bodies and the only political formation that has been continuously supporting the justice bodies and justice reform. It is a procedural action by SPAK, it does not affect DP at all. It is not an issue that belongs to DP. The will has been clearly expressed with her public attitudes. Immunity should not be part of the Constitution at all, Albanian MPs should not have immunity. Immunity is a relic of the past. It is a long-standing position of the DP, which believes that every request of SPAK will be evaluated and voted in favor to pave the way for every citizen to face the justice system. There is no need at all for mandates and a request to parliament to waive immunity. It is a remnant of the old constitution" , said Sefa.
We remind you that earlier the Gazment Bardhi group also declared that they would vote in favor of removing Berisha's immunity.
