The Democratic Party has reacted to statements that there was an order from the blue headquarters to boycott the protest in support of the former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army, held on October 17 at "Skënderbej" Square in Tirana.
In a statement to the media, the DP has described this claim as untrue, categorically denying the existence of any instruction, verbal or written, not to participate in the rally.
" The Democratic Party has not given any order, verbal or written, that its representatives or supporters should not be at the rally in support of the former KLA leaders on trial in The Hague ," the statement said.
The DP considers the news as part of a "permanent anti-opposition scenario", which it links to what it calls "Ramaduro's" propaganda.
Citing previous statements by President Sali Berisha, the DP recalls that its position on the KLA war is clear and unchanged.
" The cause of the KLA, its struggle and that of the Albanian people of Kosovo, are not only right, but also part of the eternal honor of the nation and the Albanian national issue, " the reaction concludes.
