Commenting on the situation in which the DP is today, the lawyer Kreshnik Spahiu said that this has come as a result of the overlapping illegality within the party for years.
In an interview for the show "Now" on "Euronews Albania", he said that the PD has had these conflicts for years, since according to him it was a fictitious democracy.
Spahiu added that the PD has reached this state because, according to him, the democrats within the party have always tried to be servile, to please the president.
" Today, the Democratic Party with or without a stamp, that is, Reestablishment or the official DP, wherever you spin it with or without a merger, with Berisha, with Basha, with whoever you choose, even if the formula of a collegial board has a cost irreparable which cannot lead to a first party.
Why do I say this? Because this happens where lawlessness has been overlapping for years and it comes here in this situation that we are in today. This situation that happened last night has always been in PD. I have since December 8, 1990, but it has not been seen. Why? Because it was a fictitious democracy. When Ed Selami spoke against the party, everyone whistled or laughed at him, not because they were against Ed Selami, but so that the chairman who was there would listen to them and enter his heart, so it was an imposed democracy. This has happened year after year and congress after congress ", said Spahiu.
