Ervin Salianji, a member of the DP leadership, denied the statement of the DP Secretary General, Flamur Noka, that he is seeking his position in the party.
Salianji stated that there is no fight for positions in the DP, rejecting Noka's statements, who in a short Facebook status wrote ironically towards Salianji: He started it with a bang as the "savior" of the DP, but within three weeks it had escalated to a demand for a chair.
"Tomorrow at 6:00 PM at the Skampa Theater in Elbasan I have a meeting with the Democrats. I have communicated with Mr. Alimehmeti and he maintains the same positions regarding the situation in the Democratic Party. He is on the committees of the Tirana Municipal Council, but if he finds the time, he will definitely be there.
I have no fight. I am not seeking a position in the Democratic Party. I will not take a position in the Democratic Party and I am not making this move to take that position in the Democratic Party.
And I'll tell you something else. I don't have an office in the Democratic Party, I don't get paid, I don't have privileges.
