The Chairman of the National Council of the Democratic Party, Edi Paloka, held a press conference today, where he denounced that the Socialists are seeking to silence the Democrats who did not sell their votes and who are denouncing vote theft.
In the video that Paloka published, a person in Dibër is heard saying that he sold 5 votes for 500 thousand lek.
Paloka says that the video in question was secretly recorded by Lulzim Memamshi, a member of the DP for years, who was a commissioner in these elections.
According to Paloka, the author of the video was threatened by several people at work for publishing the video. For this reason, Paloka is seeking public protection for Lulzim Memashi.
"Lulzim Memamshi is the author of this video, a member of the DP for years, has been a commissioner in these elections. He is in a very difficult economic situation, he also has a sick son, his wife left him a few months ago. After the release of this video yesterday, two people went to his workplace and threatened him. The words were what you have done to yourself with what you have released, you will see what we will do. They want to silence those who denounce. I am here to denounce as a case and to take Lulzim into public defense," said Paloka.
Paloka then addresses Prime Minister Rama, warning him not to play around, not to take revenge on the citizens who refused to sell their votes.
"Rama can become king if he forgets that he can play with the Democrats. I'm warning him not to even think about it, because now he will take revenge on those who refused to be sold," said Paloka.
