The leader of the "Albania Becomes" movement, Adriatik Lapaj, has been criminally prosecuted in connection with the protest in front of the Prime Minister's Office that has been continuing without interruption for two days.
According to the police, Lapaj is suspected of having gathered and occupied the public space in front of the Prime Minister's Office building, obstructing the free flow of movement.
"The Crime Investigation Specialists of Police Station No. 1 referred the materials to the Prosecutor's Office for citizens:
AL, as he is suspected of having gathered and occupied the public space in front of the Prime Minister's Office building, impeding the free flow of movement," the police announced.
Yesterday evening, protesters led by Lapaj had set up several camping tents in front of the Prime Minister's Office with the intention of spending the night. The police intervened and removed the tents as they were placed in a public space where the clash occurred.
Lapaj has been protesting outside Prime Minister Rama's office for 2 days now, initially alone and then joined by members of his party.
