DP National Council member Ilir Alimehmeti stressed that sustained protests are needed against the Rama government. Alimehmeti added that resistance is necessary and stressed that the focus should not be only on the well-known abuses of Prime Minister Edi Rama, but on creating a real alternative government.
According to him, the opposition should unite around a few main objectives, focusing on mass protests to create real pressure and large numbers on the streets, as a prerequisite for free elections and the removal of the current government.
"We need to be patient today, because children are running away, they are not coming back. We need to be patient for this, not for Rama's abuses. People know that. We need to discuss within ourselves first of all how the Democratic Party, the opposition as a whole and all other forces can become an alternative government and how these kinds of ideas can then be returned with legal force because otherwise it remains a beautiful narrative, it remains something that we talked about, we are left with two reels on YouTube. But that's it. The alternative government is only achieved with a form, in an unwavering manner, patience and numbers.
Not 200 ideas and 400 ideas, but one, two, three fixed consolidated objectives that are a common denominator for every opposition political force. And when we are clear here, when the first step is achieved, then the second step is discussed. So, how does it get into the elections, which was the second issue.
