Prime Minister Edi Rama, at today's meeting of the Socialist Assembly, warned that this will be the last mandate where the Albanian Parliament will have 140 deputies, as their number in the future will be less than 101.
This statement by the head of government was considered one of the most positive elements of today's Assembly by the guests at Quo Vadis on Vizion Plus.
Economic expert Ergis Sefa stated that MPs in Albania cost more than in other European countries. According to him, we have a much higher representation of MPs compared to other European countries per 100 thousand inhabitants.
Meanwhile, lecturer Zylyftar Bregu emphasized that this is one of the most positive actions of Prime Minister Rama, as MPs only employ their family members and work for crime.
Excerpts from the conversation:
Sefa : In addition to the salary that they have above the market average, the deputies also have bonuses, their salary goes beyond 3 million. Albania in the region has the highest level of representation 5.3 representatives per 100 thousand inhabitants. Italy, which we consider a friendly country and is considering reforming, has 1.2 per 100 thousand inhabitants. Germany has 0.9 per 100 thousand inhabitants. Over half of the deputies have no proposals in any parliamentary committee where they have participated.
Bregu: This is one of the good things Rama does if he removes them. The MPs work for the tribe and work for crime.
