At the Munich conference, Prime Minister Edi Rama also spoke about Albania's European integration.
Speaking about a possible date for integration, Rama ironed saying that Albanians have been waiting for a long time without anything happening.
According to the prime minister, first all tasks must be fulfilled to reach the required standards.
"These dates should not be thought about because I went through a trauma with these dates, wedding arrangements, but the bride never came. We only got a letter from the progress report telling us we love them. No date! First it is not about them but about us. There is no need to rush.
We are not looking to enter there, we are looking to start talks because we want to learn. Negotiations are the most productive transfer of knowledge a country can get on this planet to turn into functioning institutions. We have to do our homework and do our part as member countries.
There is also the other side of the coin. The way the process is designed will not work. When you start talking, it means you are engaged but not married. It is about changing the way this relationship will develop. Which means it will be between everything and nothing and full membership. There are 27 and they can hardly decide, imagine 6 more from the Balkans", said Rama.
