Democratic MPs continue meetings with the grassroots regarding the organization of the February 20 protest.
Gazment Bardhi together with Flamur Nokë were in Elbasan, where, among other things, they talked about the union of the democrats.
Bardhi commented on the absence of Lulzim Basha in this union together with two of the minor allies, Dashamir Shehi and Shpëtim Idrizi.
"There is a small part of us who still think that the path of unification is not the right path! We won't have to talk to friends and comrades with whom we have fought battles, neither with bitterness nor with anger. We have a task! We make you aware that division is not the right way. Not only for DP, because we are not here only for DP, but it is not the right path for Albania. Because we are here for Albania! We are here because we want to live in Albania! That's why we have to make them aware to be on our side, in front of Edi Rama. We make you aware of being by each other's side because that's the only way we're stronger. That's the only way we lay the necessary foundations to build the winning project for DP and the victory of DP is the objective that brings these men and women together in this hall and thousands of others outside this hall", said Bardhi.
Bardhi also reflected on that split two years ago, saying that it was the wrong path.
Meanwhile, he called for participation in the February 20 protest.
"We Democrats became aware that what happened two years ago was wrong. Disruption is not the way to go. We are here because we love Albania and we must make others aware to join us. DP must win in 2025 because Albania must win. We must win the minds and hearts of the people of Elbasan who love the country. The leadership of the Party, due to wrong decisions, has added to the difficulties of the Democrats, and we apologize. Therefore, all of you are waiting for the protest on February 20 at 17:30. DP structures will invite not only democrats but every citizen to the protest. You will have us by your side because we are the force that will take Albania to Europe", said Bardhi.
