The Vice President of the Democratic Party, Orjola Pampuri, has responded to the Minister of State for Relations with the Parliament, Elisa Spiropali regarding Blinken's visit to Tirana and the "McGonigal" affair.
Pampuri says that the visit of the American Secretary of State is being used to divert attention from the corruption affair of Edi Rama.
"Elisa in the world of customs has today used Secretary Blinken to justify Rama's involvement in the McGonigal affair against Lulzim Basha," says Pampuri, among other things.
The vice-president of the DP says that it is shameful to misuse Albania's friend and strategic ally.
"Elisa, don't abuse the Secretary of State for your troubles like you used the White House when you took away Sajmir Tahir, the head of drug trafficking in Albania. Tales of Russian money brought out the head of Edi Rama, who today is being pointed to all over the world as the man who bribed the high official of the FBI to attack the opposition and the president of the DP. The Russian money ended up in the pockets of McGonigal, Elija, together with the corruption money of Edi Rama", writes Pampuri in her reaction.
