The leader of the Freedom Party in Berat, Lefter Maliqi, said that Rama has run in the elections with his loyalists. He also states that he has included the old SP deputies in the open list, 'kicked them in the ass', while he wants to keep only his loyalists who were in the Municipality on the closed list.
According to Maliqi, this is an attempt by Rama to maintain power and guarantee complete control over the Socialist Party, thus ignoring the interests of honest socialists and citizens.
He assessed that the proposed electoral lists for the Berat region are a shame, as according to him they serve neither the region nor the true socialists.
Maliqi emphasizes that Rama is trying to keep Rilindja under control by clearing the political terrain and that his efforts to control the Socialist Party are harmful to democracy.
"Rama has come out with his loyalists, with the deputies of the socialist party, he has put the old ones on the open list, he has thrown them away, he has kicked them, because he knows very well that he will be in opposition, he wants to keep only his loyalists that he had in the Municipality, like the famous Spiropali of Skanderbeg, so also Manastirliu, so also others.
So, part of SPAK, this list is all over Albania, clearing the ground for Rilindja, so that it can easily maintain the Socialist Party.
As for Berat, we have a ridiculous list that does not serve the honest socialists of Berat at all, nor the Berat district, so when I give you the message that in the Berat district it comes out 4 to 3, the same story will happen throughout Albania.
"We are in a dignified confrontation with crime and always honest people, people of sacrifices deal a crushing blow to crime.
