Prime Minister Edi Rama has spoken about justice reform, saying that the Socialist Party is the only guarantor.
During his speech at the meeting with Albanians in Athens, the head of government said that the opposition did not want to vote on either the vetting or SPAK and even locked themselves in a tent. He also mocked the small parties, saying that they have only changed their faces.
Regarding the arrests within the majority, Rama said that he knew that SPAK would strike with the "sword" that he vowed to give it. He even added that he feels proud and has no regrets about the work done by the Special Prosecution Office.
We recall that a few weeks ago there was a frontal attack by Rama against SPAK, but after the publication of polls showing Albanians' support for SPAK, the prime minister changed course.
"May 11 is an invitation to join everyone on the train of history. You know very well that Albania today is changing in one aspect as well, in terms of equality before the law. For the first time since Ismail Qemali raised the flag in Vlora, people connected to political power, powerful figures are going to justice. The prosecution and independent courts are questioning, investigating, accusing and convicting them. Now listen that all of these with the swamp owl at the head and with my love Lulin, all of these were enemies, not sworn opponents of the justice reform. They did not want to vote for the reform, the SPAK vetting and they all locked themselves in the tent and threatened that they will not even enter an election. Today their only hope, desperate and miserable, is that SPAK and the special court will destroy the SP and finally their day will come, while what they do not understand, together with the small carpet sellers, that They are all tools and since they are young, they only have their face and age.
You saw them even put fathers, father-in-laws and aunts on the lists. They don't understand one thing that we are not in a job but in a mission, to make Albania once and for all part of the European family. We know very well that equality of law is a condition for doing this, just as we may not be very smart, but I don't believe that anyone would take us for fools enough to enter the sea on foot and not know that by handing over the sword, we did not foresee that that sword would also fall on our heads, some of us. We knew this. We have not regretted this, but we are proud of this", said Rama.
