Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban visited Albania today, while several agreements are expected to be signed between the two countries.
During a press conference with his Hungarian counterpart Viktor Orban, Prime Minister Edi Rama evaluated the relationship between Albania and Hungary.
In his speech, Rama said that his visit to Albania is the continuation of a new path of cooperation between the two countries. The Prime Minister added that Hungary has been one of the most vocal advocates of the Western Balkans in the European Union.
"We have entered a new phase of traditional, friendly and economic relations between the two countries and this visit, in addition to the visit of a precious friend, is also a visit to continue on that new path of cooperation that opened a new phase after the visit of our delegation in Budapest where several milestones were set on which we are continuing to cooperate.
Hungary is one of the most vocal advocates of the Western Balkans in the EU and one of the most progressive forces in relation to the enlargement of the European Union. Hungary and Prime Minister Orban have continuously defended the process of integration of the Western Balkans into the EU.
The support was not only in words but concreted with expertise made available to our government in all the sectors where we asked for support. We share the same conviction with the prime minister and the government of Hungary regarding the high geostrategic interest for the fastest possible integration of the Western Balkans", said Rama.
