President Bajram Begaj spoke today at the Prespa Dialogue Forum about the situation in the region. Begaj said that no one can question the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Kosovo, calling it an indestructible political reality.
According to the Head of State, it is the right time for the leaders of Kosovo and Serbia to undertake their historical responsibilities and advance the process of reconciliation, as well as the normalization of relations and recognition between them.
"No one can question the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Kosovo today. Kosovo is an irreversible political reality! But I appreciate that it is the right time for the leaders of these two countries to undertake the historic responsibilities, that, like those of North Macedonia and Greece five years ago, advance the process of reconciliation, as well as the normalization of relations and recognition between them.
We have created many organizations and regional initiatives in function of this goal, but we still seem to be far from what we want: a region in peace, a safe region and a developed region. Albania is committed to its mission as a stabilizing factor in the Western Balkans region and an exporter of security in the region and beyond," said Begaj.
