Prime Minister Edi Rama, at the conclusion of the marathon meeting with technology representatives today, also spoke about the use of cash.
Rama emphasized that by the end of this decade, the goal is for all payments and transactions to be made digitally and for there to be no cash at all.
"We need to take the innovation agency to another level. What was left unsaid is that we have another ambition that by the end of the decade Albania will be cashless, meaning that financial transactions will be digital, we need a great effort, we need a lot of awareness, technology is not lacking."
"It is completely feasible and will free the country from a burden of dust and thorns in everyday life, and the last thing I have is that in the document you will prepare, be as free and creative as possible, without setting limits ," said Rama.
