Democratic Party MP Dashnor Sula has commented on Rai 3's investigation into Albania and Prime Minister Rama. He quips as he says he feels sorry for her and doesn't take pleasure in anyone's misfortunes.
"It may seem to you or to the viewers that I personally felt very bad as a citizen. I would not wish for the prime minister of my country or the government of my country to have this approach, to have these events, this name, this definition. When we talk about Rai, we talk about pan-European television. It was about 6-7 million viewers. To think that after 34 years the Albanian leaders, prime ministers, ministers are not able to come out, media caza, yesterday I read snakes, turtles, it worries me a lot. Although Albania is small, we are a Mediterranean country, of the Western Balkans. I can't find the words. I am not one of those who enjoy the misfortunes of every person, I pity them", said Sula.
On the other hand, Sula considers the investigation into the connections of the constructions in Albania with the mafia in Italy.
"Get the number of building permits, get the number of square meters, do the investment calculations. Of the 3 or 4 billion euros invested in construction, only ¼ is in the banking system. The rest runs in the black. Criminal groups finance construction companies", he said for "Report TV".
As for Arben Ahmetaj, Sula emphasizes that he was deputy prime minister and may know even more things. He adds that he warned in Parliament that Ahmetaj was the terror of the government as he has information.
He said that no matter how much Rama tries to cover up his scandals, anything that becomes big will be revealed in time.
