After the marathon session three days ago at the Investigative Commission for the TIMS system, where the Minister of the Interior, Taulant Balla, and the director of the State Police, Muhamet Rrumbullaku, the head of this commission, Ervin Salianji, have announced the next meeting.
The session will take place on June 10 at 14:00, where the witnesses will be questioned, Ardit Muço, former Head of the IT Sector in the State Police; Besjan Tanuzi, Former Director of Systems, State Police; Ervina Gjana, Director of Cybercrime, in the State Police.
Salianji emphasized that the data of the TIMS system has been hacked and is available online, adding that unauthorized persons had access.
"Not only am I surprised, but I am shocked by the mountain of illegality that we have discovered either by questioning the witnesses or by dealing with the documents.
Except for the testimony of the person under house arrest, the other two had nothing classified as a state secret.
There was no classified information at all. I say it responsibly, in the 6-hour discussion with the police director, I did not find any elements that constitute a state secret, they are public.
The new appointments in the state police have been made in an unimaginable way. They applied before the functions were created. The new leaders have started work before receiving the appointments.
The answer in many cases was that "it's human error". This investigation has revealed dark sides in the TIMS system.
As far as I am allowed, I tell you with conviction that it was confirmed to us that there was interference and that the TIMS system is online due to hacking, it is located on a certain online website and the citizens' data is there.
We requested an urgent meeting because we are in the conditions of a serious violation of national security.
In the TIMS system, there were people who had access in an unauthorized manner and people who, despite entering the documents into the system, for the persons in search, the system did not retrieve them, raising suspicions that they were used by people with criminal records.
We were told that the data of this system has been hacked and we are told that it is online. This is the whole scandalous logic of this whole matter. The state's sensitive police systems are in unsafe and unauthorized hands," he said.
