Former Democratic MP Ervin Salianji has announced the holding of a meeting with Democratic Party supporters in the city of Lezha, continuing his tour of several cities in the country.
The former MP has called on Democrats to participate, announcing that the meeting will be held at the Palace of Culture, at 6:00 PM.
Salianji has previously held meetings with DP structures and sympathizers in Korça, Durrës, Elbasan, Gjirokastër and Shkodër. These moves have provoked reactions within the party and deepened the clashes between him and the current DP leadership.
"See you tonight in Lezha, at 18:00, at the Palace of Culture ," Salianji announced on social networks.
The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has publicly commented on these meetings during television appearances. He describes Salijanj's actions as a violation of the red line set by the party and even warned of expulsion.
Berisha has called on Democrats several times not to support Salinj, emphasizing that his movements are part of his personal agenda.
Meanwhile, the former Democratic MP seems not to have been deterred by the DP leader's statements from continuing the round of meetings.
