Former Democratic MP, Ervin Salianji, invited this Tuesday to the "Now" show on Euronews Albania, revealed details regarding his meeting with the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, after he was released from prison on leave.
Salianji stressed that he was released on leave in May. According to him, he received the leave later because he was supposed to be released during the election campaign period. Among the details from the conversation with Berisha, Salianji stressed that the leader of the Democrat Party stated that he was released from house arrest, referring to it as the balcony, on the condition that Prime Minister Edi Rama will remain in power until 2033.
According to him, the courts are under the direction of the government and released Berisha before the elections and not after because, according to him, Rama had it easier with the leading democrat. Salianji emphasized that wherever he ran, he won, which is why they left him in prison.
He added that if they continue and fabricate, some truths will come out for the public to judge, but emphasized that now is not the time since the guests insisted that he tell them this on Tuesday.
"Berisha told me that I have an obligation to Edi Rama, to stay in power until 2033 because they asked me for this the moment they took me out of the balcony, the regime's court that took me out of the balcony. Without question, I told him that they had unjustly taken Mr. Berisha to the balcony, and they had given him the measure of house arrest, unjust, political.
But he told me that I have this obligation because the courts are controlled by the regime and Rama released me from house arrest just a few months before the elections, while he kept me in prison, for example, he didn't let me run because I won where I was.
Mr. Berisha apparently had it easy here too, then we had a discussion about how he helped us the most. Does the government help me because I spent 10 months in prison and didn't let me run," he said, among other things.
