What has been rumored for several days now seems to have been confirmed. The dismissal of the Foreign Minister has brought tension between Edi Rama and Elisa Spiropali, tension that had been noticed, but has exploded today.
The leader of the SP group, Taulant Balla, appeared at a press conference today and was asked about the fact that Elisa Spiropali did not participate in the session where the immunity of former minister Belinda Balluku was voted on, even though there was an order that no one should be absent. Balla said that there will be a special meeting to discuss this action of Spiropali, signaling that the MP could even be punished.
" I don't make decisions alone, I make them with the parliamentary group. So I will also ask the parliamentary group about this issue ," said Balla.
However, after Balla's statement, Spiropali himself reacted, proving that there is a lot of tension between them. Spiropali speaks with irony and wit, stating that the group's decision must be thoughtful and in line with the responsibility we have towards the public.
" Taulant, I read your public statement late. I completely agree. If the issue requires consultation with the parliamentary group, then that is exactly what should be done without delay. Call the group and let's have a full discussion. Collective decision-making is the strength of the SP group and the guarantee of political legitimacy. Every position that emerges from an open, blunt and conscious discussion deserves respect, regardless of the direction it takes. It is important that the decision is thoughtful, reasoned and in accordance with the responsibility we have before the public ," she writes.
Elisa Spiropali has been one of Edi Rama's closest people. From customs director, she later became a deputy, minister for parliamentary relations, speaker of the parliament and finally foreign minister. But it seems that something broke. At the group meeting that Rama held at the Brigades Palace, he made some changes to the government and among the names removed was Spiropali. Ferit Hoxha was appointed in her place. Of all the names, her departure was the most unexpected. This also led to later insinuations, as there were also rumors of a disagreement between her and Balluk.
What added to the suspicions was the fact that Spiropali boycotted the session when it was decided to reject SPAK's request for Balluku's arrest. However, it seems that the conflict continues and the signals are that "blood" has been ignited in the PS. Kanë ngelur një grup teveqelësh sahanlëpirës servil që klasifikohen fare lehtë. Mjafton ti shikosh si zgurdullojnë sytë dhe rrinë si mumje në çfarëdo llojë mbledhje. Tipik “hunjë gardhi”. Prandaj nuk ka çfarë të plasi. Kjo Zonja do të vejë për dhjamë qeni, si shumë të tjerë para saj.
