This is the first visit of the Ukrainian president to Tirana. Zelenksy's visit is considered historic for Albania, which remains an active member of the North Atlantic Alliance (NATO). Albania was among the first countries to side with Ukraine after the start of the Russian invasion in February 2022.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived at Rinas Airport at 23:00, as scheduled. He was received by Foreign Minister Igli Hasani, Minister of State Elisa Spiropali as well as the Ambassador of Ukraine in Tirana.

" Kiev is seeking international support for a peace plan as Russia's invasion drags into its third year and Ukrainian troops struggle to hold ground against Russian attacks, " the article said, among other things.

The Reuters article highlights the support that Albania has given to Kiev as a NATO country by joining Western sanctions against Russia and sending ammunition to Ukraine.

In an " Associated Press " article, it is emphasized that Zelensky arrived in Albania to provide more support to defeat the enemy.

"As a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council for the past two years, Albania has joined the US in initiating resolutions against the Russian invasion," the AP article said.

Even  the Daily Mail  has devoted a long article to Zelensky's first visit to our country since the invasion of Russia.

"This is Zelensky's first visit to the Balkan nation since Russia invaded Ukraine more than two years ago.

The Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, visited Kiev, together with the then Prime Minister of Montenegro, Dritan Abazović, in June 2022," the article emphasizes.

Even the prestigious  The Guardian  has written about the visit of the Ukrainian President.

Volodymyr Zelenskiy has arrived in the Albanian capital of Tirana, where he will participate in a summit with the countries of the Western Balkans and hold bilateral meetings with their leaders.

Kiev is seeking international support for a Zelenskiy peace plan as Russia's invasion enters its third year and Ukrainian troops struggle to secure territories against Russian attacks , the article said.
