At 09:03, the face-to-face meeting between Rama and Zelensky began
Prime Minister Edi Rama welcomed President Zelensky at the entrance of the Prime Minister's Office, to start a face-to-face meeting between them.
After shaking hands, Rama welcomed Zelensky and then, together with the staff accompanying the Ukrainian president, entered the Prime Minister's office.
For the first time, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is in Tirana. From the war front, Zelensky arrived yesterday evening in Albania, to participate in the summit on Ukraine that is being held today.
Albania, as a staunch supporter of Ukraine, is holding this summit focusing on the two-year-old fighting with Russia.
Shortly after the meeting with Rama, the two delegations will meet and sign an agreement between the two countries.
The work of the summit will start at 11:00 in the Palace of Congresses, where the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of Moldova Maia Sandu, the President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, the President of North Macedonia, will participate. Stevo Pendarovski, Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Borjana Kristo, Croatian Prime Minister, Andrej Plenkovici. The summit concludes at 13:30 with a press conference between Zelensky and Rama.
