The Prime Minister of the Republic of Albania, Edi Rama, is in Skopje, where he is participating in the meeting of regional leaders, as well as US and EU officials.
In his speech at the beginning of the meeting, the Prime Minister said that the meeting is extremely important for the steps that the region must take to get closer to the European Union. He emphasized that the Balkan countries should put the interests of the citizens first and leave history in the background.
"It is an important meeting as we are here to share our thoughts with the representatives of the EU and the USA for an important step that we must take to bring the EU closer to something that until now has only been possible for the member countries. Therefore, it is a great opportunity that we must not let go and we must cooperate with all 6 countries of the Balkans and put the citizens first and politics and history second because whatever we do in the coming months will define how our countries will look like in the next decade ", said Rama.
