The official Democratic Party has reacted to the accusations made by the former Prime Minister Sali Berisha today, against the President Lulzim Basha, whom he said cooperates with the head of the government, Edi Ramë.
In the reaction through the secretary for public relations Edvin Kulluri, the official DP says that, behind every accusation of Sali Berisha against them, a bargain is hidden, sometimes a construction permit tender and sometimes a political bargain to block the reformation of the political system.
PD mentions the pact of 2008, where it says that Berisha and Rama want to preserve that pact, that's why they are doing everything against the electoral reform.
" Today he must tell the Albanians what agreement he made for the second time after 16 years with Edi Rama? For what system did "distinguished partisans" offer the votes of his deputies in the parliament to secure Rama 84 votes, failing the Electoral Reform Commission?" , it is said, among other things, in the reaction.
The full reaction of the secretary for public relations in DP, Edvin Kulluri:
As was proven these two years, behind every accusation of Sali Berisha against the Democratic Party, a bargain is hidden, sometimes a building permit tender and sometimes a political bargain to block the reformation of the political system.
The big truth is that Albania today is suffering from the Berisha-Rama pact of 2008. That pact made the prime minister all-powerful and took away power from the citizens, which is reflected in the decrease in participation in elections from year to year. Today, Berisha and Rama want to preserve that pact, that's why they are doing everything against the electoral reform.
It is now clear that Sali Berisha's two-year war had the sole aim of transforming the DP into a shield for his and his family's interests, in the face of international isolation, non grata sanctions from the USA and Great Britain, and accusations of corruption by SPAK .
After he failed, he started again the battery of attacks from the balcony to prevent the electoral reform by means of his eunuchs in the parliament. Sali Berisha should tell Albanians the truth if it is for:
1- Open lists of MPs or not?
2- Is Albania an electoral district or not?
3- Electronic voting and counting or not?
4- Diaspora vote or not?
Why doesn't he talk today about what kind of electoral reform he wants, but verbally and physically attacks anyone who tells him where to stay, right in the archives of the Democratic Party?
Today he should tell the Albanians what agreement he made for the second time after 16 years with Edi Rama? For what system has he offered the votes of his "distinguished partisan" MPs in the parliament to secure Rames 84 votes, failing the Electoral Reform Commission?
The tower alliance can no longer hold Albania or the DP hostage through the archaic language of hatred and blackmail.
