The General Secretary of the Freedom Party, Tedi Blushi, has spoken about the affairs of the municipality of Tirana and the silence of SPAK in the face of these affairs.
During an interview for Syri Tv, the member of the Municipal Council, from the Freedom Party, emphasized that Erion Veliaj, during his two terms at the head of the municipality, has proven to be the biggest enemy not only of the citizens of Tirana but also of the capital itself.
Further, Blushi said that the opposition has asked to hold a debate with Veliaj regarding the incinerator affair, since according to him, 80 million euros are being paid for an imaginary incinerator. He also said that the incinerator is a corrupt affair of a structured criminal group, where the two leaders of the group are Edi Rama and Erion Veliaj.
"In the meetings of the Municipal Council, the presence of the media is not allowed, even though we, as representatives of the opposition, have repeatedly requested this, but not only Veliaj does not allow the media, it is filling the hall with guards or municipal police officers.
This is to be expected from a mayor who in two mandates avoided transparency and accountability in an exemplary manner. Veliaj is a champion when it comes to fearing the truth. The request of the opposition in the Municipal Council for a debate with Veliaj about the incinerator was not accepted, with the argument that it is a matter under investigation by Albanian justice. We have requested a meeting of the Council on this matter because there are millions and millions of euros, even at this moment as we speak, 80-million euros are being paid for an imaginary incinerator. A non-existent incinerator which is financed by the taxes of the citizens of Tirana and the whole of Albania for an activity which it does not carry out. As is waste incineration. And of course the horror of the firm that Erion Veliaj has thrown into this project, because as you know he is the proposer and initiator of this affair. However, we are determined to be transparent about this affair, as we denounced a few days ago about an illegal construction in a 15-hectare area, which unfortunately turns out to be an illegal construction.
And this happens when dozens of citizens wander to the courts for a window without permission, and justice is silent. When only today the police made public a case in Shkodër for three wooden huts, and in the middle of Tirana a 15-hectare construction, the police does not see it, the justice does not see it, the national inspectorate does not see it...
As for the incinerator, this corrupt affair is a structured criminal group, two are the leaders of this group and they are Edi Rama and Erion Veliaj...", said Blushi.
Blushi also spoke about the temporary education tax imposed by Veliaj, a tax which collected 50 million euros, the money of which is not known where it went.
