The USA investigated and convicted McGonigal within a year, SPAK cannot approach
Rama-McGonigal

On February 16, the USA gives the decision for McGonigal on the Albanian file and closes his case, while in Albania SPAK only interrogated two of Rama's associates, without being able to go to the prime minister...

The McGonigal affair seems to be the main test for the Special Prosecutor. Altin Dumani boasts that they have sensational files in their hands and will strike, but so far we have not seen it go where the Albanians have been waiting for 30 years. Sali Berisha was isolated in the apartment, but the other wolves move freely.

The file that needs to be clarified is definitely that of the McGonigal affair. SPAK and BKH were set up on the model of the American FBI, but in reality they are not acting like the Federal Bureau at all. Within a year, the FBI investigated and convicted Charles McGonigal, while SPAK has only made two moves: It interrogated Dorjan Ducka and Agron Neza.

For the American file, i.e. the connection with the Russians, the former FBI agent was sentenced to 50 months in prison. Meanwhile, after 10 days, the decision on the Albanian file will be given. The prosecution has asked for 30 months in prison and a fine of 95 thousand dollars for McGonigal.

In the Prosecution's claim, the Albanian Prime Minister is mentioned at least three times. According to the US Attorney's Office, Charles McGonigal received hundreds of thousands of dollars from an Albanian businessman connected to the Albanian government. Although it is not mentioned by name, it is about Agron Neza.

" Defendant Charles McGonigal oversaw national security operations for the Federal Bureau of Investigation ("FBI") in New York without disclosing to the FBI that he had received hundreds of thousands of dollars from a businessman with ties to the Albanian government. Not only did he receive the money - in cash - without making it public - as required by law, but he also advanced his benefactor's business interests and lied to the FBI about their joint activities.

The defendant's deception prevented the discovery of actual and apparent conflicts of interest between his official duties and his private financial interests. This is, in essence, corruption that undermines transparency and trust in the integrity of the Executive Branch of government.

The defendant has sworn to investigate and prevent crimes against the United States, not to commit them. For serious violations of the public trust, the government requests that the court sentence the defendant to 30 months in prison and order him to pay a fine of $95,000, a sentence at the top of the United States Sentencing Guidelines and consistent with the Guidelines of the Penalty of the United States ", the claim states.

After February 16, bells will ring for SPAK. Will the prosecutors dare to at least interrogate the prime minister? There are rumors that he has been asked, but nothing has been officially confirmed.

SPAK should clarify to the public how involved the Albanian prime minister is. Ilir Meta's lobbying file in the USA has been seized and there is talk that he may be arrested. Then why is the same path not followed for the prime minister?

The facts that have emerged so far prove that the former FBI agent was hired to carry out certain investigations and would also receive favors in our country, where he planned to open businesses. Now the eyes are on SPAK and the minimum to follow what the USA did. For a year they investigated and convicted McGonigal, while SPAK has not been able to approach Rama for a year. / Pamphlet
