At 10:00 rally in front of the Parliament, at 19:00 protesters march towards the Prime Minister's Office

Protesters against Prime Minister Edi Rama and the government he leads will hold two rallies in Tirana today.

The first protest is scheduled to start at 10:00 in front of the Albanian Parliament, at the same time as the plenary session. Then, at 19:00, protesters will gather at Skanderbeg Square to march towards the Prime Minister's Office building.

Organizers have invited citizens from across the country, as well as Albanians in the diaspora, to join the protests, emphasizing that their main demand remains the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama. According to them, the protests will continue until this demand is met.

The scenario that the protesters will follow during today's rallies has not yet been announced, and it remains to be seen whether there will be new forms of reaction.

We recall that during the 31st protest in front of the Parliament, tensions were registered between protesters and police forces. Some protesters threw eggs at the vehicles of MPs, while the police then intervened, escorting six people, including activist Dritan Goxhaj.

After the escort, dozens of protesters first gathered near the Tirana Local Police Directorate and then at Police Station No. 1, where they demanded their release. After several hours of being held at the police station, all six protesters were released.
