Mimoza Ahmeti has sparked debate with her statements on hormone therapy for minors.
Invited to the show "Quo Vadis", Ahmeti harshly criticized the system's priorities, stating that it is unacceptable to promote hormone therapy for children over 13 years old, while, according to her, many of them still do not have their most basic needs guaranteed.
"Because to provide hormones for a 13-14 year old child at a time when you have not provided bread, food and normal class clothing for the entire child society, then you are either stupid, or you have become commercialized to the point that you only see your commercial goals and offer us these things as human rights," Ahmeti said.
During the interview, she also touched on the role of the family in society, emphasizing that the family remains the most important institution, especially in times of crisis.
"Is it good to pass the school of the family? It's a miracle. The pandemic hit, wars are fought... what is left for society? The family becomes protection. The system has not yet found another alternative," she said.
According to Ahmeti, policies related to hormone therapy do not address the real needs of people, but serve the interests of the system and commercialization.
"These options that are being offered to us with hormones are the way the system reproduces itself with its own comforts. They are not solutions that help humanity with its true needs, such as family or children, but serve other purposes ," the poet declared.
