Prime Minister Rama clarified the discussions with former British Prime Minister David Cameron.
During the joint conference with British Foreign Secretary David Cameron, the head of the Albanian government stated that one of the discussions with the former British prime minister was about illegal immigrants, as well as the relations between the two countries, Albania and Britain.
"Today is a special day for us, and for me personally, because we have a special friend of this region and Albania. He finally came after receiving the invitation a few years ago, but I am convinced that he will return again. We discussed today the good bilateral relations and their further deepening, which we talked about in terms of relations as two allied countries in NATO", stated Rama
Rama also informed that Britain will provide support for two projects in Durrës , while adding that the United Kingdom has expressed interest in being involved in the Durrës-Prishtina railway project.
"We talked about the Durrës-Prishtina railway project, soon we will open the international competition for the new commercial port in Durrës. For all these together, where is a project that exceeds the interest of our two countries and that the UK has expressed its support. I am grateful to the secretary because he is a very important advocate of ours in all the transformative processes in our region" , said Rama.
Furthermore, Prime Minister Rama mentioned other issues that he discussed with the former British Prime Minister that are related to the joint program between the two countries for the fight against illegal human trafficking
"We talked about the joint program of the fight against illegal human trafficking and we are satisfied with the result achieved, but the operation will continue", said Rama.
