The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, is holding a meeting with Albanians in Naples.
During his speech, Berisha focused on the fact that the Italian nation has welcomed waves of immigrants who fled in search of a better life, influenced by the specific conditions in which our country was located.
"Italy and Naples have welcomed waves of Albanian immigration for centuries, influenced by internal and external invasions. They opened their doors and hearts and I am grateful to the entire Italian nation," Berisha said.
Further, Berisha declared that it will be the diaspora that will save Albania with its vote on May 11.
"We are heading towards the last round of our battle, towards the 50 days that remain, decisive days for the salvation of Albania and Albanians. I have declared with the deepest conviction that this year is the year of the Albanian diaspora. It will be the Albanians abroad who will save Albania. Edi Rama, welcome the diaspora because it is coming, it is coming to save the motherland, to be the god of Albania," he said.
