It all happened four years ago. In 2019. When Sali Berisha was handed a "special" file by a senior Washington official. And this file, apart from the American government, is also in the hands of Sali Berisha.
As learned, from a very important diplomatic source, the file that was handed to Sali Berisha has not been made public, but the moment the Americans will publish it, it will be a real 'bomb', almost nuclear compared to those that have come out for the historical leader of the DP. That file has nothing to do with the terms or the material that has been declared 'Non-Grata', as it is a file of data, about which little has been said, but which contains names, events, cities, which can cause a real tsunami in the world of politics, culture, but also the well-known people of Tirana's elite.
Everything happened when the DP burned the mandates of the deputies and started a violent path against the institutions. Precisely in those days, an important official of the US State Department arrived in Tirana, who entered Sali Berisha's office and asked him to get out of his way.
Berisha, as is already known, refused, and after that, the American official handed him a file, a copy, as if to tell him that it is only one hundredth of what the Americans know about him.
Sali Berisha, it is learned, was destabilized immediately, and out of nerves he "politely" took the Washington emissary out of the office.
But before this event happened, in 2018, Argita Berisha, Jamarbër Malltez and Shkëlzen Berisha were refused visas to the USA.
According to the US government, Sali Berisha had started his strategic project of leaving a family legacy in the party. The introduction of Jamarbër Malltez into the leadership structures of the DP, as a member of the National Council and giving him the direction of a department, was only the first step. Meanwhile, the next step was the advancement of the establishment of Sali Berisha's son, Shkëlzen, in the management structure. Practically, Lulzim Basha was surrounded since the 2017 elections.
Right here, America reacted, refusing the visas for Sali Berisha's children, and preparing the situation to refuse the doctor as well. Everything was quiet, so as not to harm Lulzim Basha, and to put him in front of any possible aggression. But this was interrupted by Edi Rama, who, informed about the refusal of visas, stood up in the Parliament and asked Berisha the famous rhetorical question: "Can you cross the ocean?"
Here the wires were snapped and the doctor implemented the backup plan which was nothing more than a kamikaze act that today is clearly seen as a political suicide. DP and LSI burned the mandates.
Gramoz Ruçi, at the head of the Assembly, immediately demanded the replacement of deputies from the CEC, which made the act irreversible.
Meanwhile, the USA called on Lulzim Basha and Monika Kryemadhi to reverse the decision, even by taking into administration the reserve deputies of the opposition that would replace the CEC procedurally.
But both Basha and Kryemadhi made it known that they no longer have the power to reverse the decision, so the US undertook an aggressive diplomatic operation.
Ambassador Yuri Kim arrived in Tirana not long ago, who arrived in January 2020. The embassy was run by a charge d'affaires, who did not go to Berisha's office.
The DASH official arrived there, who conveyed the message that the US knows well who Sali Berisha is, and who his old connections are without entering politics and after politics. As it is learned, in that file there were even plane tickets and photos of Berisha's meetings with Russian contingents in Serbia, who were preparing a close cooperation of the secret services after the departure of the pro-Westerners from the Yugoslav secret services. So the file was a complete and detailed record of all the activities of Sali Berisha since the mid-80s.
Then he left quietly. And it should be noted that this happened at the time when Donald Trump was the President of the USA. Then the Covid 19 pandemic broke out, and in 2021 it was stamped 'Non-Grata', which was the final decision for Sali Berisha.
But why has the US not made this file public? Because they are sensitive data of the secret services, on which the deadline for their declassification has not legally arrived.
However, parts of this file have been released to the public, talking about the Russian contacts of Sali Berisha and an important group of his collaborators. And it is precisely the aspect of finding and identifying the entire network, to possibly arrive at a publication, which will likely happen soon./ Pamphlet
