On Monday, the majority will hold a debate session on the new budget. In past years, this session has lasted almost day and night, as each deputy has taken the floor. However, this time the opposition has warned that it will block the session and this has set Lindita Nikolla in motion. The latter has ordered the Guard to surround the hall of plenary sessions.
The news was given by Gazment Bardhi, which states that the order to the Guard is completely illegal. He has warned of resistance and clashes in the hall.
" Today we are aware of the illegal order of Lindita Nikolla to surround the hall of plenary sessions on Monday with the special forces of the Guard of the Republic, thus officially declaring the autocratic personal state of Edi Rama. As can be seen in the attached photo, the Guard of the Republic has been ordered to "rehearse" today how they will surround the opposition MPs during Monday's plenary session!
By strongly condemning this degradation of Edi Rama's regime, we want to ensure that there is no guard and policeman who can hinder and intimidate the opposition in the mission to restore parliamentarism and protect the constitutional rights of the opposition. A Parliament, where deputies are surrounded by security forces during their decision-making, can never be the Parliament of a democratic country, a member of NATO and a candidate country for the EU. It is an unprecedented act in 32 years of democracy, the transformation of the Assembly hall from the hall of citizens' representatives to the hall of government guards. This Parliament is the shame of Albania, just like the corrupt government of Edi Rama ", says the reaction of Gazment Bardhi.
According to the information, yesterday at the meeting of the parliamentary group, the group of Berisha and Bardhi agreed to clash strongly with the SP deputies and the Guard in Monday's session. Berisha himself, in an appearance for the media, said that it will be the strongest resistance that has happened, indicating that we will have chaos on Monday.
" Deputies of the opposition on behalf of the opposition people and citizens who believe in the values of democracy, who consider pluralism as its main tool, who believe that those in power should be investigated by parliamentary commissions with transparency, all activity will be reflected, an important article capital must be respected.
Laws, resolutions and amendments of the opposition must be forwarded in accordance with the parliamentary procedure. These are the most basic demands, for which the deputies are determined in this battle without return until victory.
