The deputy of the Democratic Party, Sorina Koti, has accused the government of arrogantly removing the rights of the opposition, as she added that they have not made proposals for the draft budget of 2024 precisely because of the chaos created in the Assembly.
In an interview for "Euronews Albania", the MP said that the way the session was conducted is completely contrary to the Parliament's regulations.
" The online discussions were carried out without a decision of the Speaker of the Assembly, which is taken at the conference of the Speakers in extraordinary situations or when there are war or pandemic situations, we are not in any of these conditions. In fact, November 1 was the first day of the start of the discussion in the Economy Committee where we were present with our colleagues that day there and at the moment when the Socialist Party saw that we were all present in the hall, sitting in our chairs, very correctly, in our position as a deputy, the meeting was canceled and the online meeting was then called ", said Koti.
