The Special Prosecutor's Office is expected to interrogate other people in connection with the investigations they are conducting against former president Ilir Meta and his wife Monika Kryemadhi.
ABC News has learned from sources close to the investigative group that persons who may have knowledge of the criminal offenses for which SPAK is conducting verifications for the former presidential couple, such as money laundering and non-declaration of assets, will be called to the prosecutor's office to give explanations.
A few days ago, the spouses Ilir Meta and Monika Kryemadhi were questioned in the special prosecutor's office as persons with knowledge. After leaving SPAK, Kryemadhi admitted that he was called to give clarifications about the investigations started on the verification of assets, while the former president Meta did not give clarifications in front of the journalists, but in harsher language than ever, he attacked SPAK leader Altin Dumani.
Monika Kryemadhi's mother was also questioned earlier for the same investigation. It is known that during the verifications, it was found that Fatima Kryemadhi, but also other persons, are related to several money transactions transferred to the children of the Meta-Kryemadhi couple. In the same way, during a search by order of SPAK, 5 mobile phones were seized in her apartment, 1 of which belonged to Monika Kryemadhi. The special prosecutor's office is carrying out investigative actions in relation to two reports registered in a single one, the first is related to some aesthetic interventions of the couple Meta Kryemadhi in a clinic outside Albania and the second to the amount of 700 thousand dollars which is the payment for lobbying in USA from the party socialist movement for integration. / ABC News
