Democratic Party deputy Gazment Bardhi has confirmed the meeting again at a table of democratic deputies and the Alliance for Change. In a statement to journalists, he stated that there will be 59 opposition MPs of the DP.
"Definitely they will gather at a table, all 59 opposition MPs of the DP and the Alliance for Change will continue in the Parliament of Albania ," he said.
The head of the DP parliamentary group and the former prime minister Berisha sat together at a table on September 5 after almost 2 years of division of this political force.
The meeting attended by opposition deputies was held after the leader of the DP, Lulzim Basha dismissed Gazment Bardhi as the head of the Group after the statutory changes in the National Assembly on September 2.
Today, both sides committed to request the establishment of various investigative commissions related to the government's corrupt affairs, while the question of the direction of the democratic parliamentary group still remains open.
The assembly called by Mr. Basha left this right to him. But according to Mr. Bardhi, the regulations of the parliament recognize this attribute to the deputies themselves, who are more numerous on his side.
