"The curse of 1912 continues", Rama reveals why Albanians are the most
Edi Rama

Prime Minister Edi Rama gave an interview in which he spoke about politics in Albania. He said that Albanians "give water to the tail of a spoon" when it comes to politics.

Rama added that there are no better analysts than the people. He emphasized that people on the ground are much better analysts than analysts who are invited to television studios.

Rama said that no people can be satisfied because if this is achieved, there is no more ambition to improve.

"Albanians are among the most impatient people, so they cross mountains and seas and wherever they go they leave a good name. In all the ways Albanians enter, they succeed because they are extraordinary. Here is the issue of 500 years of culture and transactional culture and the new institutional culture. The Greeks also have this problem. As for the part that they are not satisfied, no people can ever be satisfied because they have no more ambition. I myself am a very dissatisfied Albanian, because I want things to go much better and I know that I can do things better.

But Albanians are an extraordinary source of energy, when we come together they create some problems of institutional tradition, of democratic culture and so on. Albanians have had another very big problem, because on one side there has been a political camp where the waters, the people have moved, there has been change, while on the other side there has been a political camp that has taken hostages and turned into a swamp. That swamp is a national disaster. For me it is the curse that has followed Albanians since 1912", Rama told "Euronews Albania".
