NATO countries have mobilized after what happened in Russia. Wagner attempted an uprising and the prime ministers of the member countries have gathered in the Netherlands to discuss the dangers coming from Russia.
Prime Minister Rama was also present, who attended a press conference with NATO Secretary Jens Stoltenberg. The prime minister of the Netherlands, Belgium and Norway as well as the President of Romania, Poland and Lithuania were also present at the conference. But unlike other leaders, Rama followed the lead by raising the situation in the north of Kosovo as a concern.
Rama has stated that the support for Ukraine will continue and anyone who thinks otherwise and hopes for the disintegration of NATO, has failed.
" The support for Ukraine continues, anyone who can bet on dividing NATO has lost and will lose. I want to add that we can also discuss the disturbing situation in the Western Balkans in Kosovo where KFOR soldiers were injured. We hope that logic prevails and that the de-escalation starts as soon as possible because any escalation can bring a catastrophic end and we do not want to see a break in our region. We want to see the dialogue succeed and we will have the support of NATO, which is responsible for KFOR, which in turn is responsible for security ," he said.
In his speech, Stoltenberg said that despite Wagner's revolt, Russia should not be underestimated and should continue with support for Ukraine.
" Putin's war has created new divisions and tensions in Russia. At the same time we must underestimate Russia, we must continue to provide Ukraine with our support. The summit in a few weeks will give a clear message of our commitment. Ukrainian forces are conducting a counteroffensive. The fight is hard, but they are making progress. The more territories they release, the stronger our hand will be at the negotiating table. We will agree on a program for air defense of Ukraine. We discussed steps to increase NATO's defense ," Stoletenberg said.
