Journalist Aulon Kalaja says that Albania has similarities with Venezuela.
Kalaja drew a parallel between Maduro and Edi Rama, saying that both have removed 1/3 of the population from the country.
"I want to draw a parallel with Albania. 1/3 of the population of Venezuela has left and this is a fact. It is the richest country in Latin America, while it has the poorest people, we are dealing with a dictatorship, a country covered in drugs... I say this because they are the same as the situation in Albania now. In Europe we only have one country that approaches the standards of Venezuela and that is Albania, as a narco-state. It was cannabized and today the Port of Durres is the main gateway from which cocaine is imported, even from Venezuela," said Kalaja.
"Even Maduro himself has spoken about Albanians dealing drugs in Venezuela. Secretary of State Marco Rubio knows Latin America well, he originates from there and his information is accurate. I do not believe that the US has entered Venezuela for oil. I am not so naive as to think that they will come to Albania and "pack" Rama, but the precedent is very important ," Kalaja added on "Off the Record".
