Vjosa Osmani is expected by Marco Rubio, Rama ends up at the Atlantic Council
Rama and Osman's meetings

The President of Kosovo meets with the head of the State Department, while the Prime Minister, despite flattery from Trump, has not had meetings with local officials...

Prime Minister Edi Rama made every attempt to be the protagonist at the Peace Board, but Vjosa Osmani emerged victorious again. Rama moved the latter and took the floor at the summit, while standing behind the president the entire time. However, apart from the 40 seconds of conversation that Rama had with Trump, there was nothing else.

After this meeting, Rama was not received by senior Washington officials. His only success was a meeting at the Atlantic Council.

"At the Atlantic Council table, one of the most important strategic policy organizations in the US, where there was a high interest in Albania, its new international profile and our views on the Peace Board, open conflicts, as well as the path of European Union enlargement," Rama said.

But, as the prime minister finished at this table, Vjosa Osmani was welcomed by the US's number two: Marco Rubio.

It was the President herself who shared photos from the meeting with the Secretary of State, while also providing details from the conversation they had.

" On the 18th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kosovo and the United States, it was a special honor to be welcomed today at the US Department of State by Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

We discussed the possibilities for strengthening our alliance, as well as concrete steps in this direction that are of vital importance for our people. In particular, I thanked him for the inclusion of Kosovo in the Peace Board, for the decisive American support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Kosovo, as well as for the American military presence in Kosovo as a key presence for peace and stability in the region. We discussed the great importance of Kosovo's membership in NATO, as well as for opening new chapters of cooperation in the economy and defense, as part of our strategic partnership , "writes Osmani.

Since Trump took power, Rama has been boycotted by American officials. His only success was an invitation to the Peace Board, but even this invitation is suspected to have many other unknown costs. In the meantime, it seems that the boycott of meetings continues, as Rama has not had any high-level meetings so far. / Pamphlet
