Vokshi asks the Minister of Health: Did the lights go out in QSUT for 2 hours
Albana Vokshi

In the Commission for Social Affairs and Health, Albana Vokshi has raised the concern about the malfunctioning of the emergency in QSUT for 2 months now, after the fire that engulfed the 0th floor of the hospital.

Vokshi asked the Minister of Health, if the information is true that the lights went out in the QSUT for more than two hours and 4 patients lost their lives, during the period that the lights went out, after they were intubated, the backup line did not work.

" It's been about 2 months since we held the meeting in the QSUT Emergency. There was a fire twice. None of the equipment is working. Patients still go from one hospital to another. With the majority of votes, you rejected my request to hold the session in QSUT. How much can you help to choose the situation. Since there were 2-3 deputies who approved it as a proposal, I would like the minister and the Director to come as soon as possible, since another tender was given 3 days ago to put into operation that was burned and destroyed. The tender is 300 thousand euros. The money of the Albanians is going down the drain, other money is being given and no one has come here to this commission about what caused the first fire. It was because of the thefts of 17 million euros. Why is it not talked about, why don't they show, what are the equipments that were destroyed, that were burned, that no longer work. 17 million euros, not only the cost, but the building has been in operation for two months, not years.

Serious incident at QSUT. According to this information, an employee who works at QSUT, the lights went out for more than two hours. According to this employee, there were 4 patients who lost their lives, during the period when the lights went out, after they were intubated, the backup line did not work. If this information is true, it would be a very big scandal. Can a hospital like QSUT live without lights? Is it true that on Friday morning the lights went out? Why didn't the generator work? Where were the patients sent ." - said Vokshi.
