Independent candidate for the Municipality of Vlora, Gjergji Nika, says that the low turnout in these elections is a clear message for politics in Vlora.
He says there is pressure from the administration to go out and vote.
"It is a very important day for the citizens of Vlora. In two years we have changed three mayors, it is not in vain that we came to the elections and I invite everyone to come out and vote en masse. It is very important that the vote is accurate, clean," said Gjika, after the vote, where he appeared with two fingers up.
Nika further said that interest in voting has been low, while adding that politics will receive a lesson today, which according to him will start from Vlora.
"Interest has been low. There will be a boycott of the political class. The political class will receive a lesson today! And the lesson will start from Vlora. I guarantee all the citizens of Vlora that their vote will be counted honestly and all those counters who will follow after the vote will be held accountable before the law if the vote is tampered with."
"I have my own information that after 1 or 2 pm, all the patronage agents who are patronizing the vote through employment want to force the administration out of their homes, psychologically, so that they can go out to vote for their candidate. The administration has abandoned them. Even those who will go to vote will vote against. It should be like this after you saw what happened in the Municipality of Vlora ," said Nika. Regarding the low turnout, he added: "According to me, the percentage in these elections does not exceed 15%. "
