The murder of Gëzim Sinomati, Balla: The police have surrounded the whole

The Minister of the Interior, Taulant Balla, spoke about the mafia murder of Gëzim Sinomati in Vlora, where he said that the presence of the police has increased in the coastal city and throughout the country.

Balla said that the time when the strong made the law is over and will not return.

"Even for serious criminal events like the one in Vlora, of a mafia organization, the State Police has increased its presence not only in Vlora but in the entire region, by conducting its own operations, to prevent the phenomenon of illegal possession of weapons, which is a serious violation of the law.

We must move towards minimization and prevention. The time when the strong avoided checks or enforced the law in the neighborhood is over and will not return," he said.

The minister also commented on the case of the 14-year-old girl in Divjaka who was married to a 34-year-old man, saying that an alliance and communication with all institutions should be created to prevent cases of gender-based violence, sexual violence or crimes with gender basis.

"I have emphasized in my communications that one of the orders I have given is the police's greater focus on gender-based crimes, sexual violence, or crimes against minors.

The police have done their duty, but it is not enough. We need to create an alliance and communication with all other institutions to prevent all cases of violence.

The case of Divjaka shows us that we do not have this network of information and response to prevent events in time.

However, the state police has a plan of measures ready to increase and sensitize the public and other institutions to react more quickly. What remains is prevention," said Balla.
